![]() they will then ask what you want to pay.give it some thought (they want YOUR business) then politely counter offer and 99% of the time they will say "ok,c'mon my friend.Naugahyde Vinyl Upholstery | Faux Leather Fabric politely say, "you know what, i'm going to check some other shops". they will ask what you want,tell them then they will immediately ask "what do you want to pay"? tell them "how much"? they will talk amongst themselves then give you a quote. dont worry,some speak good enough english. pull in to the front of that shop and you will be greeted by a couple of the owners. ![]() the very first shop on the right is CADILLAC UPHOLSTERY. guys will be standing in the middle of the street waving window tint material to grab your attention. when you drive on the left lane onramp it winds counter clock wise and drops you off at the upholstery section. the right side lane will say ensenada, the left side will say TJ and/or revolution. from san diego you will cross the border and immediately be in TJ. they tinted my trucks windows,upholstered my couch,and my chair for $275.00! They did the front bucket seat,headliner,sun visors,carpet,rear package tray,door panels,and rear side panels for $275.00! everything was done in red! a few months back i drove my new truck down there loaded with a 50's couch and chair. we actually towed the 63 all the way down to TJ and got it upholstered. i got the headliner,visors,fron seat,rear seat,kick panels,door panels,side panels,rear panels,new foam,complete carpet done for $600.00! for the seats they did the inside "horse shoe" in green tuck nroll,the outside part of the seat in smooth white,all piping was green,carpet was looked bitchen!ΔΆ years ago i helped build both of my friends nostalgic A F/X pontiac tempest drag cars that are now campaigning across the states. my entire car was done! they did my poncho wagon in two tone dark green and white tuck n roll. we periodically walked back to the shop,checked on the car,took pictures to prove where all this took place,then continued eating more taco's and shopped. and i spent the day eating fish taco's,carne asada taco's,corona's w/ lime,and shopping. and by 8:00 the upholstery material shop opened up across the street,the owner and i picked out some colors,and we were back with the material in 10 minutes. the first car i drove down there was a 1955 pontiac 2 door wagon. "50's gringo".the name of the place is CADILLAC UPHOLSTERY and the work is extremely good for the price! the legends of inferior thread or stuffing the seats with cow crap is complete nonsense! maybe that stuff has happened to someone 30 years ago but it doesn't happen any more. i have had all of my work done at the same exact shop and they all know me as the 4 blocks from revolution street (where the action is) where all of the muffler,upholstery,paint & body,window tinting shops are. i have literally been there a dozen times. in the past 2 1/2 years i have been to the upholstery district of tijuana and had everything from cars,trucks,bicycle seats,furniture,and my boat seats upholstered there. aside from my keeper hot rod builds i buy and sell a lot of hot rods,classic cars and trucks. Ok guys, here's the honest to goodness true story of whats going on in tijuana.
